Our inventory of sewing machines remains low,
Some reconditioned machines remain.
Sorry. No customers permitted in the shop. Masks required. And we know it's tempting to look over our shoulders while we work but please keep a safe distance..
We repair home sewing machines and sergers. We sell needles, thread, specialty feet, parts, oil and more. Call with your needs and if we can help we'll go from there.
We encourage our Commercial customers to bring machines to us. We have a stand set-up for that purpose.
Check or cash is preferred. Credit cards are accepted for $15.00 minimum charge plus 3% surcharge
Because we're a small operation and, y'know, a little older-
don't just come by.
Make an appointment.

Our greeter
1. Most likely, the UPPER tension unit isn't threaded properly. To solve the problem, rethread machine. Raise presser foot lifter, thread machine through upper tension unit, then STOP. Put presser foot lifter down,. Now tug on thread. You should feel resistance. If not, try again.
2. The machine may be out of time, OR the needle may just be in backward. It could also be a bad needle. So start with changing the NEEDLE. Make sure the flat of the needle is to the back of the needle bar for top and front-loading machines It should be to the inside for most side-loading machines, with Singer 221 and 301 models the primary exceptions! Timing problems need a professional fix.
