Look for the big white house up from Barney's Busy Corners.
Sadly, Lora has lost her beloved Trudy, our greeter for fifteen years.
1. Most likely, the UPPER tension unit isn't threaded properly. To solve the problem, rethread machine. Raise presser foot lifter, thread machine through upper tension unit, then STOP. Put presser foot lifter down,. Tug on thread. You should feel resistance. If not, try again.
2. The machine may be out of time, OR the needle may just be in backward. It could also be a bad needle. So start with changing the NEEDLE. Make sure the flat of the needle is to the back of the needle bar for top and front-loading machines It should be to the inside for most side-loading machines, with Singer 221 and 301 models the primary exceptions! Timing problems need a professional fix.
